Electron superfluidity induced by quantum light    [PDF]

O. V. Kibis
It is demonstrated theoretically that the strong electron coupling to photons in systems with broken time-reversal symmetry results in photon-dressed electron states which cannot be backscattered elastically. As a consequence, an electron gas dressed by photons can flow without dissipation. This quantum macroscopic phenomenon is analyzed for dressed electrons in an asymmetric quantum well exposed to an in-plane magnetic field.
