Vortex Dynamics in Ferromagnetic Superconductors: Vortex Clusters,
Domain Walls and Enhanced Viscosity
   [PDF]

Shi-Zeng Lin, Lev N. Bulaevskii, Cristian D. Batista
In ferromagnetic superconductors vortices attract each other at large
distances due to the polarization of the magnetic moments. At a low vortex
density, vortex clusters are then stabilized in the ground state. The motion of
vortex clusters driven by the Lorentz force excites magnons. These magnon
excitations become unstable at a threshold velocity above which domain walls
are generated for a slow relaxation of the magnetic moments. The vortex
configuration becomes modulated by the domain walls. This underlying dynamics
of vortices and magnetic moments can be probed by transport measurements.
